This website was created and sponsored by Southern Futures at UNC-CH to spread awareness about the indigenous languages spoken currently in North Carolina that others might not know about.

About the Creator:

Vanessa Ramirez-Soto is a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is majoring in Political Science with minors in Latin American Studies as well as Heritage and Global Engagement. Vanessa is fluent in English, Spanish, and has been studying Quechua for a year. She has taken SPAN 416 and SPAN 417 with Professor Yasmin at UNC-CH. Due to this she has also studied Quechua in Lima for six weeks in order to grow her knowledge of the language.
